Land Cover: Moorland rough grazing forestry and grassland
Habitats: Grass moor and heather moor with flush and bog communities in wetter parts
Topsoil Carbon: High
Mostly Drains To: Local stream network
Water Protection Issues: Gripping or over grazing, particularly in winter, can lead to accelerated erosion. Out-wintering and stock feeding practices need care if loss of vegetation and erosion are not to result
General Cropping Guidance: Some soils are capable of improvement to grassland but most only support rough grazing of low or moderate grazing value
