Definition
Major soil group: 02 raw gley soils Mineral soils in material that has remained waterlogged since deposition. Prominently mottled or greyish above 40 cm depth. Mainly confined to intertidal flats and takings that represent stages in the development of mature salt marshes.
Soil Group: 1 raw sandy gley soils In sandy material with no distinct topsoil.
Soil Subgroup: 0 raw sandy gley soils In sandy material with no distinct topsoil.
Soil Series: saline medium or coarse sandy stoneless drift
