Definition
Major soil group: 02 raw gley soils Mineral soils in material that has remained waterlogged since deposition. Prominently mottled or greyish above 40 cm depth. Mainly confined to intertidal flats and takings that represent stages in the development of mature salt marshes.
Soil Group: 2 unripened gley soils With permanently waterlogged loamy or clayey alluvium (soft mud) at 20 cm or less.
Soil Subgroup: 0 unripened gley soils With permanently waterlogged loamy or clayey alluvium (soft mud) at 20 cm or less.
Soil Series: saline clayey over light silty marine alluvium
